Oak Console Table by Jean Pascaud

Art Deco console table in the neoclassical style by Jean Pascaud, the beige "Hauteville" marble top resting on two solid oak inverted lyre form supports both inlaid with a "croisillon" motif .France: circa 1933. Provenance: Galerie Yves Gastou, Paris | Acquired from the previous c. 1995 by the present owner. European private collection. Literature: Les décorateurs des années 40, Foucart and Gaillemin, pg. 170 illustrates similar form,  a similar model in rosewood in "Ensemble Mobilier" vol 5 plate 13 and MOBILIER ET DECORATION n°5 1933 JEAN PASCAUD.
