Rare "palm" brooch in talosel resin and glass by Line Vautrin, signed: "Joux", France: circa 1960. Signed: Joux "Joux" for "jewelry" is one of the signatures used by Line Vautrin. Line Vautrin: jewelry designer, finery maker, French (1913-1997) she was fascinated as a child by the work of her father, who was a founder. Self-taught, she created her first pieces in the 1930s: jewelry, buttons, boxes, compacts... She worked in bronze, blown glass, porcelain. In the years 55-60 she developed a resin encrusted with shards of colored mirrors "the talosel". She uses it for jewelry, but also objects: frames, mirrors... In the 80s, she discovers a new process: pellimorphoses, colored resin that she will use in sculpture.
